MT280 is protected by top-of-the-line Stonewall Security™ that uses end-to-end encryption and is PCI PTS 4.x approved and EMV level 1 and 2 certified—ensuring that card data is always protected.

MULTIPLE PAYMENT METHODS

MT280 supports magnetic stripe cards, smart cards with chip and PIN, and contactless payments such as Apple Pay, MasterCard PayPass, and VISA payWave. In addition, MT280 has an optional biometrics scanner that enables fingerprint authentication. Up to four SAM card slots enable use of multiple types of contactless cards.

DURABLE FOR THE OUTDOORS

MT281 incorporates Bluebird’s proprietary TankSmith™ technology and features a 1.2 m (4 ft.) drop specification and can operate in both extreme cold and heat.
In addition, MT281 has a spill resistant keypad and the display is protected against scratches and chips by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3.

WIRELESS FOR MOBILE MERCHANTS

With support for Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth, MT280 is ideal for merchants on the move, and GPS enables
location-based tracking of sales. Dual SIM cards provide full network coverage and minimize interruptions.
MT280 can also be used with a wired Ethernet connection that is available through the charging cradle.

DEVELOPER FRIENDLY

Bluebird offers a software developer kit with a full set of APIs that simplifies the development of payment applications and provides ISVs a faster route to EMV deployment. Support for the Qt framework enables developers to efficiently build applications for the device.
